Lloyd Bowman

Services for Lloyd George Bowman, 76, 7698 West 650 North, Bryant, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington.

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He died Thursday morning at AmeriCare Living Center, Winchester.

Born Oct. 23, 1927 in Morehead, Ky., he was the son of Herbert L. and Sara Elizabeth (Roberts) Bowman.

He was married on Aug. 28, 1948 to Geneva I. Harrison. She died Oct. 23, 1990. He was then married on Dec. 22, 1990 to Wanda M. Wysong, who survives.

Retired in 1990 after 22 years with Genova Manufacturing, Fort Wayne, he then worked as a security guard for Jaytec in Portland.

He was a member of Full Gospel Church, Dunkirk, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Fort Recovery, and the Association of Chiefs of Police.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Edward E. Bowman, Bluffton, William Lloyd Bowman, Bluffton, David Keith Bowman, Cridersville, Ohio, and Kevin Wayne Bowman, Muncie; five daughters, Lana Marie Klarer, Muncie, Elizabeth Darlene Schubert, Christinburg, Ohio, Barbara Elaine Brandenburg, Winchester, Regina Lynn Quillian, Portland, and Karen Sue Grider, Milroy; a brother, Farris Bowman, South Vienna, Ohio; six sisters, Lynn Morell, Morehead, Ky., Joyce Larson, Muncie, Lucille Stevens, Lowell, Lea Wheldon, Lafayette, Virginia Keller, Sacramento, Calif., and Clara Conn, Morehead, Ky.; 40 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; three step-daughters, Robin Lynn Martin, Nappanee, Dr. Michelle Wysong-Mihlorie, Granger, and Nicole Wysong, Fort Wayne; a step-son, Dr. David Wysong, Fort Wayne; and ten step-grandchildren.

Joseph Brosher

Joseph H. Brosher, 69, Lone Beech Drive, Muncie, died Wednesday in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Born in Portland on Jan. 20, 1934, he was the son of Lawrence and Verga (Stump) Brosher. He was married on July 26, 1953 to Esther M. Hummel, who survives.

A self-employed toolmaker, he was a member of the Players Club, the Winchester Masonic Lodge, and Deerfield United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Douglas K. Brosher, Muncie, Rodney D. Brosher, Smyrna, Tenn., and Joe D. Brosher, Yorktown; one daughter, Sheryl Gosnell, Muncie; four brothers, Lawrence Brosher, Ansonia, Ohio, Robert Brosher, Brookville, Fla., Ivan D. Brosher, Muncie, and Bill Brosher, Muncie; a sister, Kay Yvonne Smith, Union City; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the M.J.S. Mortuaries Middleton Chapel, Ridgeville. Burial will be in Lawndale Cemetery, east of Ridgeville.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to The First Tee, a golf organization for children, 133 Franklin Corner Road, Lawrenceville, N.J. 08648.

C.J. Cart

Graveside services for C.J. Cart, 60, 495 E. Lagro St., Pennville, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Twin Hills I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pennville, with the Rev. David Stalker officiating. The Pennville American Legion Post will conduct full military graveside rites.

Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He died Friday morning at his home after an extended illness.

Born on Jan. 12, 1943 in Portland, he was the son of Herley and Clarice (Coon) Cart. He had served with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968.

He was married on Feb. 17, 1964 to Bonnie Wheeler, who survives.

He had worked for 16 years for Sheller-Globe Corp. in Portland and later for Sterling Casting in Bluffton.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Salamonia and the Pennville American Legion. He had served as post commander of the Pennville American Legion in 1976.

He was also a member of the Portland Disabled American Veterans Post and had served as commander from 1993 to 2003. He was also a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge in Portland.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Herley Jay Cart, Clinton, Utah, Greg A. Cart, Gary D. Cart, and Kevin J. Cart, all of Pennville; two daughters, Melissa Castello, Portland, and Kristy Stocker, Keystone; two sisters, Sandra Collins, Wilkinson, and Judy Weaver, Spiceland; and seven grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
