COUNTY ACCIDENT
A pick-up truck driven by a rural Bryant man backed into a park car in a Jackson Township driveway on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
James H. Hartvig, 52, 3715 West 650 North, told Jay County police he was backing out his driveway when he struck a 2001 Ford Taurus, registered to Jay-Randolph Developmental Services, 901 E. Water St., Portland. Hartvig said that he didn’t know that the car was parked behind him.
Damage to Hartvig’s 1994 Chevrolet truck and the car was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.[[In-content Ad]]
