Robert Bailey

Robert “Popeye” L. Bailey, 74, a resident of the Jay County Retirement Center, died Friday at IU Ball Health Memorial Hospital, Muncie.
A native of Jay County, he was the son of Jesse Albert and Ethel Mae (Cox) Bailey.
Surviving are two brothers, Edward L. Bailey (wife: Caroline), Portland, and James Bailey, Marion.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-3 p.m. at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, Portland. Services will be held at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Liber Cemetery.

April 17, 1957-Sept. 22, 2011
Kathy S. Barhorst, 54, 4569 St. Anthony Road, Coldwater, Ohio, relative of area residents, died Thursday at Kettering Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio.
Born in Coldwater, she was the daughter of Richard and Ruth (Weigel) Wellman.
She was married Nov. 6, 1981 at Trinity (rural Bryant) to Dale Barhorst, who survives.
A member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, she had worked at Workflow One in Coldwater.
Also surviving are her father, Richard Wellman, Coldwater; two daughters; five brothers, including Ken Wellman (wife: Karen), Portland, and Ed Wellman (wife: Linda), Bryant; a sister; and 37 nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity, Coldwater, with the Rev. Richard Walling presiding. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling will be Sunday from 2-7 p.m. and Monday from 9-10 a.m. at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
