Frederick William and Clela Elizabeth Saxman are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday.
Frederick married Clela Freece on Aug. 17, 1958, at Macklin Methodist Church near Bryant with the Rev. Dale Milner officiating.
Clela was raised on a farm northeast of Bryant, that is now Bearcreek Farms. She worked at the Equity Dairy and Weiler's Dept. Store in Portland while attending college. After graduating from Ball State Teacher's College in 1957, she taught school for 41 years, including nine years at Portland High School.
Frederick attended International Business College in Fort Wayne and was owner and operator of Saxman's Harley Davidson Sales in Muncie and also installed Bell Telephone equipment for Western Electric.
They are the parents of Mrs. Ted (Lizabeth Ann) Van Hooser and they have one granddaughter.[[In-content Ad]]
