Schmiemans celebrate 60th (11/10/05)
Anniversary
Dr. and Mrs. Bill Schmieman, Nampa, Idaho, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today.
Bill married Fern Thomas, a Jay County native and graduate of Bryant High School, on Nov. 10, 1945, in Fort Wayne.
Fern is a homemaker and worked for the General Electric Company.
Bill is a scientist and retired from the Department of Defense after 30 years. He was then head of the Industrial Engineering Department at the University of Singapore.
They are the parents of Dr. Eric A. Schmieman and Anita Hawkins. They also have three grandsons.
To celebrate, the couple is planning a trip to Las Vegas.[[In-content Ad]]
