Scholarships offered at Purdue Extension
Taking Note
Three scholarships are available to women through the Jay County Purdue Cooperative Extension Office.
The Ruth B. Sayre Scholarship is sponsored by Country Women's Council, USA and the Indiana Extension Homemakers Association. Application forms are available at the Extension Office and must be signed by and returned to Ellen King, IEHA president, by Jan. 15.
The Career Advanc ement Scholarship offers eight $500 scholarships to Indiana Homemakers who are at least 25 years old.
The Eleanor B. Arnold Award is available to an IEHA member; the Ann Hancock Award is available for someone seeking a degree in the medical field and the other six are random scholarships.
All eight scholarships are to be used to complete education or upgrade vocational skills studying at an undergraduate level. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need and former winners may apply again. Application deadline is March 15.
First Timer Award to Home and Family Conference will be awarded to someone to attend a Home and Family Conference who has never attended before. Application deadline is Feb. 16.

Join the chorus
Jay County Civic Theatre will perform "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at Arts Place April 15 to 18 and April 22 to 25.
Students in grades three through eight who join the Stateline Singers at Arts Place will be part of the youth chorus in the play.
