'School of scare' coming Saturday
Taking Note
“School of Scare” will be held Saturday at the Limberlost State Historic Site in Geneva from 6 to 8 p.m.
There will be live creepy animals, a skull class to become a Limberlost skull scholar, Halloween themed games, including “Vampires of the Limberlost” and a “Backyard of Terror.”
There will be candy and prizes and anyone wearing a costume will receive a goodie bag.
The cost is $3 per child and adults are free. For more information, call Curt Burnette at (260) 368-7428.
Pumpkins at library
“Punked Out Pumpkins” will be held Monday at 6 p.m. at Jay County Public Library.
Bring a pumpkin to decorate. Creative craft accessories will be available to use.
“Celtic Origins of Halloween” will be Monday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the library.
Learn the meaning behind Halloween traditions from Fred Suppe, associate professor of history at Ball State University.
Adults and teens are welcome. Refreshments will be provided.
To register for either of these events, call the library at (260) 726-7890.
The crochet club, for teens and adults, will meet Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the library. Bring supplies.
