Schwieterman earns award (11/1/03)
Taking Note
Ellen Schwieterman, Fort Recovery, recently earned honorable mention at the Wassenberg Art Center of Van Wert, Ohio, during the center’s 26th annual October photography exhibit.
The exhibit continues through Friday.
YOUTH SOUGHT
The Hoosier Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross is recruiting youth from the community to attend a call-out session. Red Cross is seeking new ideas from outgoing youth in order to help the chapter serve the community more effectively.
Just as youth bring enthusiasm, talent, and skills to the organization, officials also have the opportunity to provide young people with a chance to become trained in American Red Cross courses, to become actively involved in their community and to gain hands-on experience while helping others.
The call-out session will be held Wednesday, Nov. 5 from 5 to p.m. at the Hoosier Heartland Chapter office at 325 E. Washington St., Muncie. Pizza will be served for dinner.
For more information about the session, call Tricia Brasher at (765) 284-3361 or (800) 480-4403.
