Schwomeyers celebrate 50th (09/05/06)
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Schwomeyer, 531 W. Walnut Street, Portland, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.
Jerry married Julia Binegar on Sept. 9, 1956, at Zion United Church of Christ in Indianapolis.
Julia retired from teaching at Judge Haynes Elementary School and Jerry retired from John Deere Dealerships and dairy farming.
They are the parents of Fred Schwomeyer, Indianapolis; Mrs. Doug (Sheri) Arbuckle, Redkey; and Jim Runkle, Portland. They also have nine grandchildren.
