Season ends for Starfires

FORT WAYNE - The season came to a close for the South Adams High School girls track team Tuesday at the regional meet hosted by Northrop.
The Starfires were shut out at the meet as none of their competitors finished in the top eight. The host Bruins won with 83 points, 19 ahead of runner-up Carroll.
The best finish for SAHS came in the 4x800-meter relay, in which Hannah Moore, Allison Beitler, Sawyer Shane and Kristen Muselman finished second in their heat. They were 10th over all with a time of 10 minutes, 10.73 seconds.
Trisha Myers turned in a fourth-place finish in the high jump at 4 feet, 8 ½ inches. Hannah Mitchel was 16th in the shot put with a toss of 30 feet, 3 inches.[[In-content Ad]]
