Senior fitness sessions set (02/02/08)
Taking Note
The Jay Community Center welcomes seniors (ages 55 and older) to participate in a winter learning and fitness session beginning Monday, Feb. 11, with a free breakfast at 7:30 a.m.
Classes will be offered in introduction to fly tying, healthy cooking, card making/scrapbooking, bean bag toss, ping pong, knitting and woodcarving.
The cost is $10 to try one or all of the classes, that will continue for six weeks.
Registration is due by Thursday, Feb. 7. To register of for more information, call the Jay Community Center at (260) 726-6477.
Geography winner
Dylan Harris, a seventh grade student at West Jay Middle School, won the Geography Bee. He is the son of Andy Harris and Diane Harris.
Dean's list
Hannah R. Williams, Portland, has made the dean's list at Ball State University for the fall semester of 2007.
She is the daughter of Lisa and Rocky Williams.
