Seven from FR earn MAC honors (03/20/08)

FORT RECOVERY - Seven Fort Recovery athletes were honored this week by the Midwest Athletic Conference.

Six girls basketball players and one boys basketball player were named to the All-MAC Acadamic Team.

Kelsey Wuebker, Anne Koesters, Joanna Snyder, Kinsey Wenning, Nicole Pottkotter and Rachel Tobe earned the academic award for the Indian girls. Sophomore Greg Kahlig was the lone selection for the boys team.

Players must be at least a sophomore, earn a varsity letter and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher to earn the award.

Snyder and Kahlig walked away with several other awards as well.

Snyder, a junior, won both the Indian Award and the MVP for the girls team, and Kahlig was honored as the boys team's MVP.

Senior Bobby Rammel was the Indian Award winner for the boys team.

Stultz wins

Jordan Stultz of Portland recently took the championship in the 8-year-old division of the Indiana North District Optimist Tri-Star basketball contest held at New Castle. He is the son of Larry and Annette Stultz.[[In-content Ad]]
