Several events coming to Minnetrista, Muncie
Taking Note
After 5 at Minnetrista: Sampling in the Sun, a wine and food tasting event will take place Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Minnetrista in Muncie. The event is held in partnership with Muncie Young Professionals. The cost is $15 and registration is required.
Senior Free Admission Day and Grandparents Day is Sunday, Sept. 11, at Minnetrista for grandparents to bring their grandchildren. Performances by Minnetrista Theatre Preserves will be held at 1 and 3 p.m. and paths through Oakhurst, the Nature Area, Children’s Garden and the Wishing Well Garden can be explored. The day is sponsored by Westminster Village Muncie and is free for seniors 60 and older.
Glass Workshop: Recycled Glass Menagerie is being held to celebrate Recycle Glass week. The workshop will be held Thursday, Sept. 15, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. A glass item will be provided or bring your own to recycle into a work of art. The workshop is sponsored by Verallia in Dunkirk. The cost is $20 and the registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 9.
Pressure Canning: Vegetable Soup will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to use a pressure canner. The cost is $20 and the registration deadline is Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The PBS Program Club at Minnetrista will present American Experience: Abraham & Mary Lincoln A House Divided — “We Are Elected” on Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. Learn about this fascinating presidential pairing. There is no cost.[[In-content Ad]]
