Show a big success (5/24/04)
Opinion
Well, that was cool.
It looks as if the Arch Bridge Kroozers — the local car enthusiast club that just got started last year — has another hit on its hands.
Saturday’s spring cruise-in proved to be the perfect way to spend an early evening in May. The weather cooperated, scores of beautiful automobiles were on display, and hundreds of people showed up to admire the gleaming hot rods, street rods, and restorations.
The organizers did a fantastic job, with every aspect — from the re-opening of the former home of Maitlen Motors and Maitlen-Theurer to the delicious food served by volunteers at the old Portland Fire Station — taken care of.
If the event were a car, we’d say it had been “detailed.”
Our guess is that it’s just going to get better in the future. Thanks, guys. — J.R.[[In-content Ad]]
