Shreeves celebrate 60th (08/25/2008)
Jay County residents Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Shreeve, Portland, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today. A family dinner is planned.
Virgil married Wanetta Franklin on Aug. 25, 1948 at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Wanetta retired in 1992 as a buyer for Publix Grocery Chain and Virgil retired as an electrician the same year.
They are the parents of two children, Mrs. Carl (Marilyn) Walker, Pennville, and Mrs. Kerry (Deborah) Jones, Berne. They have two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
