'Skins knock off FR freshmen

FORT RECOVERY — The Fort Recovery High School freshman girls basketball team dropped its season opener 26-21 Monday to the Fort Loramie Redskins.
Cassidy Rammel led the way for the Indians with seven points. Haley Knapke scored five points, and Rachel Pugh added four.
East Jay cruises
East Jay Middle School’s eighth grade girls basketball team rolled to a 29-17 victory Monday over the visiting Winchester Driver Hawks. The seventh grade team also won, 28-17.
Gabby Hart powered the eighth grade Chiefs with 11 points. Lyla Muhlenkamp and Abby Wendel each added six points.
Catera Gierhart finished with 10 points and four rebounds to pace the EJMS seventh graders. Deanna Chenoweth followed with six points.

FORT RECOVERY — The Russia Raiders knocked off Fort Recovery Middle School’s eighth grade girls basketball team 28-21 Monday. The Tribe seventh graders also lost 42-13.
Jocie Kaiser was the top scorer for the Indians, leading the seventh grade team with seven points. Whitney Will, Grace Gehle and Audra Metzger each scored two points.
Kirsten Jutte paced the FRMS eighth graders with six points. Caitlyn Huelskamp and Chelsea Timmerman each added four.[[In-content Ad]]
