Comcast results
Comcast Corp. posted increased net income in the fourth quarter.
Comcast posted earnings of $1.02 billion, up from $955 million the year prior. It finished the year with 22.8 million subscribers.
Marsh lawsuit
Marsh Supermarkets agreed to pay two fired workers and made a commitment to not interfere in attempts for workers to organize, but will not rehire the let-go employees.
The agreement was made between the company and the National Labor Relations Board in a hearing that alleged Marsh managed violated labor laws by attempting to stop employees from organizing into a union.
The United Food and Commercial Workers Local 700 has been attempting to see if Marsh employees in Beech Grove would want to join the union.
40 years
Bank of Geneva will hold an open house Friday to celebrate 40-year employee Dianne Beer.
Beer is the assistant vice president and branch manager at the Geneva office. She began as a part-time teller at Bank of Geneva in 1967.
She left the bank in 1982, but rejoined the staff in 1985. She became a loan officer in 1994 and was promoted to branch manager in February 2001.
An open house will be held Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Bank of Geneva branch in Geneva.

Jay County Farm Service Agency is reminding area agricultural producers of a few deadlines approaching.
March 15 is the last day to purchase NAP coverage for 2011 spring crops. NAP coverage is available for commercial crops such as sweet corn, pumpkins and tomatoes among others.
A general CRP signup will be help from March 14 to April 15 to enroll highly erodible acreage and place it in a conserving use practice to help reduce erosion.
Also, DCP/ACREA farm signups will continue through June 1.
