Somers couple celebrates 50th
Gerald and Lois Somers, 718 S. Shank St., Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 323 S. Meridian St., Portland.
Gerald married Lois Bowers on Sept. 23, 1961, at the E.U.B. Church in Dunkirk.
Gerald retired from Indiana Glass Co. in Dunkirk in 2002.
The couple are the parents of two children, Everett Somers and Cathy Mock (husband: Lonnie), both of Portland. They also have three grandsons.
