Tribe gridders fall
FORT RECOVERY — Fort Recovery’s football team lost 34-6 to the Anna Rockets Saturday as the teams finished the game that was postponed Friday night.
The Indians (2-1) trailed 20-0 Friday when the game was halted because of lightning with 1:12 on the clock in the opening quarter. When the teams returned to the field Saturday, the Tribe closed the gap to 20-6 when Mason Evers scored on a 19-year run late in the second quarter.
But FRHS couldn’t find the end zone again, and the Rockets (3-0) tacked on two second-half touchdowns for the final margin.
Evers, who had run for more than 600 yards in Fort Recovery’s first two games, led the Tribe with 80 yards on 16 carries.
Anna had 469 yards of total offense compared to 158 for the Indians.
