Spooky events planned (10/07/2008)
Taking Note
The Jay County Public Library has some spooky activities planned for Oct. 28.
There will be a Halloween story and craft hour from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Spooky stories, crowd interaction, a craft and maybe a guest performer are on the agenda.
All children attending the event will receive a treat bag, while supplies last. Refreshments will be available during the program.
Children may attend in costume, but a costume contest will not be held.
The library is located at 315 N. Ship St., Portland. For more information, call the library at (260) 726-7890.
Gwyn Hyman Rubio, the author of "Icy Sparks," will be at the Jay County Public Library on Thursday.
There will be a coffee tasting and book signing, starting at 6 p.m. The author will give a presentation at 7 p.m., and copies of her book will be available for $4. The event is free.
Her book is part of the Jay County Reads! Program.
The staff of the Jay County Public Library is now offering one-on-one Internet tutorials.
The sessions take 30 minutes and can be completed during regular hours.
Those interested may be able to start immediately, or appointments may be made by calling (260) 726-7890.[[In-content Ad]]
