St. Henry tops Tribe despite Wehrkamp's effort (04/21/04)

Local Roundup

Nick Wehrkamp did an awfully nice job on the mound. But, the Fort Recovery bats didn’t do enough to give him a victory.

Wehrkamp allowed just two runs in a complete game against the St. Henry Redskins, but the Indians took a 2-0 defeat.

The Tribe (4-8, 1-1 Midwest Athletic Conference) garnered just three hits in the contest. Steve Trobridge had two, and Chris Galdeen finished with one.

Both of Wehrkamp’s runs were earned as he allowed seven hits in six innings. He walked one batter and struck out two in slipping to 0-2.

Fort Recovery will play its third conference game at home Friday against Marion Local at 5 p.m.
