Local roundup
LYNN - Low scoring or high scoring, it doesn't seem to matter. The Starfires just keep winning.
South Adams topped Heritage 1-0 Tuesday night, and then opened up the offense Wednesday for a 22-7, six-inning slaughter of the host Randolph Southern Rebels.
Amber Melick went 3-for-4 with a triple to lead the onslaught for the Starfires, who are a perfect 7-0. She scored four times, drove in two runs and stole a base.

Vikings defeat Jay
Errors will always hurt. And that is especially true against elite teams.
Jay County High School's softball team committed six errors to allow six unearned runs in a 10-2 loss to the visiting Huntington North Vikings.
The miscues led to four multi-run innings for Huntington North, which has been state-ranked earlier this season and was 12th in the Class 4A Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association voting this week. The Vikings took control with three runs in the second and third innings, and then added two more in the fourth and seventh.
Amber Edmundson suffered her first loss of the year for the Patriots (6-3), allowing 10 runs - four earned - on seven hits and a walk. She struck out four.
Pazia Speed singled and scored a run for JCHS.
Lauren Edmundson had the only other hit, Jess Piercey drove in a run and Alex Bunch scored once.
