Straits celebrate 70 years of marriage
William and Betty Strait
William and Betty Strait, 200 N. Park St., Portland, are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary today.
William married Betty Wagner on June 28, 1941, in Hartford City.
Betty was a homemaker and William retired from Indiana Glass in Dunkirk and from farming.
They are the parents of Dianna Manor (husband: Gerald), Phillip Strait (wife: Nancy) and Donna Strait, all of Portland, and William Strait Jr. (wife: JoAnn), Monroe. They also have eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A family dinner is planned.
