Stress seminar offered (9/7/04)

The John Jay Center for Learning and Midwest Health Strategies is having a Stress Management Seminar Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Jay County Public Library in Portland.

QUILT SHOW WINNERS

The winners of the Stitch ‘n Chatter Quilt Club Show which was held at Art’s Place during the week of the Tractor and Engine Show were as follows:

Winning for her quilt, was Irena Hug from Forest, Va. Adrianne Henry from West Alexandria, Ohio, won with her crib quilt. Linda Hale, 416 E. Main, Portland, won for her table runner, and Shannon Wall, 3925 500 West, Portland, won for her pillow entry.

GIRL SCOUT SIGN UP

Girls ages 5 to 17 who are interested in joining the Girl Scouts will have several chances to sign up this week
