Students to attend exposition
Taking Note
Three Jay County High School students have entered livestock in the 39th annual North American International Livestock Exposition that will be held in November in Louisville, Ky.
Lauren Evans and Tucker Pearson have entered sheep in the junior market wether division and Katie Snyder has entered beef in the shorthorn division.
Library events
The Cookbook Club will meet Monday at 6:15 p.m. at Jay County Public Library with the theme “Chicago Style.”
Steve Garbacz will provide the main dish with “Chicago origins” and others are asked to bring side dishes and desserts that connect with the theme.
Bring a copy of the recipe and table service.
The Lego Club meets each Tuesday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Jay County Public Library. Children age seven and younger should be accompanied by a caregiver at least 13 years old. Anyone who has Legos to donate, can drop them off at the library at 315 N. Ship St.
A Beginner’s Internet class will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon. Call the library at (260) 726-7890 to register.

The book discussion group will meet Monday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. at the library to discuss “The Graveyard Book.”

The Winchester Community High School Music Department will have a fall concert on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
Choir and band students will be participating in the free concert.
Auction
The Fort Recovery Historical Society & Project Recovery will have its “One of a Kind Auction” on Sunday, Oct. 14, with the theme “Old Cape Cod.”
The auction will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. in the elementary/middle school auditorium/cafeteria.
Some items to be auctioned include a Remington shot gun, a diamond ring, dinner theatre tickets, condominium stays and football and zoo tickets.
