Summer series continues (07/10/2008)

The Dunkirk Beautification Committee 2008 Summer Concert Series continues at the Webster-Depot Park in Dunkirk.

Blues Light Special will perform on Saturday at 7 p.m. The group, consisting of Portland natives Lee Haggenjos, Seth Rodden, Tristan Rodden, Lucas Smith and Tom McCord, sing blues, classic and alternative rock.

R & R Classics, a 50's and 60's rock and roll group, will perform on Saturday, July 19, at 7 p.m.

Pray for Mojo, who has received the reputation as a porch-pickin' rollicking good time mountain music festival on wheels, will play on Saturday, July 26, at 7 p.m.

The Prengers duo will sing on Aug. 2.

The Phillips Guild Dance Band, which was founded to mentor Indianapolis' disadvantaged young people by giving them the opportunity to learn and play instruments, will perform on Aug. 9.

Spittin' Image, consisting of twin brothers, will perform a fast-paced comedy show, on Aug. 16.

Upcoming concert

A classic rock, country and oldies from the 50's and 60's concert will be performed by the group When Rock Met Country on Saturday. This will be member Todd Berry's last performance because he is pursuing his career in Nashville, Tenn. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the barn at Swiss Heritage Village in Berne. The cost is $5.
