Team depth has been an advantage of the Jay County Summer Swim Team all season.
Jay County had 30 swimmers win at least one individual race on its way to a convincing win Monday at Portland Pool.
Jay scored 1,303 to win the three-way meet. Bellmont was second with 468 points and Adams Central finished third with 187 points.
Sophie Saxman, Alex Bader and Sok Vormohr all won three events for Jay County.
Dual event winners were Ashlyn Dow, Josh Lykins, Sydney Mathias, Elizabeth McDowell, Anne Vormohr, Elayna Paro, Damian Hicks and the other three Bader sisters — Mara, Eliza and Sophie.
Earning victories in single events were Natalie Blakely, Thomas Boozier, Lillian Clemmons, Alex LeMaster, Griffin Man, Christopher McDowell, Jason Minnich, Ben Strausburg and Madelynn Snow.
Also picking up individual wins were Ben Nichols, Joseph Dow, Zeke Corwin, Grace Saxman, Josh Monroe, Ryleigh Oswalt, Bennett Weitzel and Benjamin Heath.

All Circuit wins shootout

Barnett’s Auto Parts and All-Circuit Electrical needed extra innings to determine a winner.
No. 2 seed All-Circuit edged third-seeded Barnett’s 21-20 in seven innings Monday in the Rookie baseball division of Portland Junior League.
Timo Minnich and Ethan Gillum led All Circuit with five hits and two RBIs each, with Minnich smacking two doubles and Gillum adding a triple.
Christian Runkle had three hits, including a double and a triple, and Grant Wendel also tallied three singles.
Cody Rowles had two hits and a team-high five RBIs.
For Barnett’s Bryce Wenk had two homers — one grand slam and one inside the park. He added a double and two singles to knock in seven RBIs.
Brayden Collins had a home run as one of his six hits, and Landon Garringer notched a double and five singles.
Keegan Hough and Daidrik Retz had five and three hits respectively.[[In-content Ad]]
