The Interurban to be subject at history museum (10/21/05)

Madison County Historian Richard Bowman will speak on “The Indiana Interurban” on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Jay County Historical Museum. His presentation will include pictures and maps on the Interurban. The public is invited to this program at the museum at 903 E. Main St. in Portland. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

Free screenings

Free breast cancer screenings will be available at the Medical Arts Building, 1026 S. Main St. in Bluffton. They are available through the Fearless and Fabulous program at Bluffton Regional Medical Center and its physician partners. The dates of the screenings are Monday, Oct. 24, from noon until 4 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 8 a.m. until noon. To register for a screening, call (260) 919-3045.



Celebration of lights

The Jay County Hospital Auxiliary will hold its 12th Annual Celebration of Lights on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. A donation of $5 will purchase a light to be placed on trees outside the hospital. A donation of $100 will buy a strand of lights and a tree of lights can be purchased for $300. Lights can be donated in honor or memory of someone, for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or other occasions.[[In-content Ad]]
