Three Patriots win state honor (10/20/04)

INDIANAPOLIS — Three more Jay County athletes picked up state academic honors this week.

Senior Brianne Morrical was selected to the Academic All-State first team in girls golf by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association. Seniors Erin St. Myers and Julie Sours were Academic All-State first-team selections in volleyball by the ICGSA as the lists for girls golf, girls cross country and volleyball were released this week.

The trio joins Jay County girls soccer players Jessica Heitkamp and Angie Hilgeford, who also earned all-state academic awards.

Fort tickets

Tickets for Fort Recovery’s home football game Friday night against Division IV No. 1 Coldwater will go on sale Thursday.

They will be available in the high school office Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. They will also be sold in the middle school office Friday from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

Advance tickets are $4 for students and $5 for adults. All tickets at the gate will be $5.

Tickets to Jay County’s sectional opening football game at Muncie Central are on sale.

They will be available in the JCHS athletics office today until 4 p.m., Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. Tickets are $5.[[In-content Ad]]
