Ruth E. Prescott, 83, Ridgeville, died Tuesday at Ball Memorial Hospital.
Born in Fort Recovery to Linville and Regina (Killian) Gagle, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Calvin C. Prescott, whom she married on Dec. 24, 1943.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Tom (Pamela K.) Mack, Wilkinson, Mrs. Don (Regina D.) Reidy, Hartford City, and Mrs. Rick (Beverly M.) Garringer, Farmland; a son, Calcy L. Prescott, Ridgeville; three sisters; Mrs. Carroll (Alice Jean) Eichenaur and Verla Marie Roessner, both of Fort Recovery, and Mrs. Martin (Clara Mae) McWay, Lima, Ohio; a brother, Calvin Ray Gagle, Portland; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Services are Monday at 1 p.m. at MJS Mortuaries-Ridgeville Chapel with Pastor Steven Conner officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Union City.
Visitation is Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to the family in care of the mortuary.
John Shuttleworth

John Lewis Shuttleworth, 71, Evergreen, Colo., died April 8 at his home.
Born at his rural Redkey home to Richard and Esther (Kuntz) Shuttleworth, he graduated from Green Township School in Randolph County in 1956.
He was preceded in death in 2004 by his wife.
He was the founder of the magazine Mother Earth News.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Jearl (Linda) Weddle, rural Redkey.
Lillian Dues

A funeral Mass was held Tuesday for Lillian Mary Dues, 88, Coldwater, Ohio. The mother of a Fort Recovery woman, she died Friday at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater, Ohio.
Born in Coldwater to Frank and Frances (Staggeman) Wenning, she was preceded in death on Oct. 26, 1991, by husband Norbert Dues, whom she married on Feb. 13, 1943.
Surviving are two sons; five daughters, including Pam Kaiser, Fort Recovery; a brother; a sister; 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
Alma Osterfeld

A funeral Mass was held Wednesday for Alma A. Osterfeld, 79, Coldwater, Ohio. The mother of a Fort Recovery woman, she died Sunday at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.
Born in St. Henry, Ohio, to William J. and Anna (Ahlers) Dues, she was preceded in death on Oct. 5, 1992, by her husband Thomas L. Osterfeld, whom she married on July 5, 1950.
Surviving are a son; three daughters, including Mrs. Theodore (Barbara) Bergman, Fort Recovery; two brothers; three sisters; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater was in charge of the arrangements.
