Local notes
Memorial run is April 28
The Matt Aker Memorial Scholarship Run will be April 28.
Registration for the 8K run at Jay County Fairgrounds will begin at 7:30 a.m. The race will be at 9 a.m.
There will also be a 1.5-mile family walk at 9:30 a.m.
Those interested in participating can pre-register by emailing [email protected]. The fee is $20 with a T-shirt and $15 without, and the deadline is Friday.

Summer swim practice set
The Jay County Summer Swim will begin practice May 7 at the Jay County High School pool.
Practices will be on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays with swimmers 11-and-older from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. and 10-and-younger from 5 to 5:50 p.m. There will also be a new swimmer try-out on May 3 at 4 p.m.
