Everett Penrod
Everett T. Penrod, 80, 617 N. Middle St., Portland, died Wednesday morning at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, following an extended illness.
Born Nov. 5, 1922, to Theodore and Ola (Coblentz) Penrod in Randolph County, he served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was married March 8, 1947 to Betty B. Shultz, who survives.
After serving for more than 30 years as a tool and die maker at Westinghouse in Union City, he retired in 1983.
Other survivors include one son, Dean A. Penrod, Portland; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Diana) Schmidt, rural Portland; one sister, Lura Supinger, Brookville, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Portland Chapel of Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Borders officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lisbon Cemetery, in Randolph County.
Visitation is Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jerry Bramlett
Jerry W. Bramlett, 53, Lincoln Ave., Dunkirk, died on Wednesday at his home.
Born in Georgetown, Ky., on April 8, 1950, to Warren and Dorothy (Thomas) Bramlett, he worked at Wal-Mart in Portland.
Surviving are one son, Jeremy Bramlett, Jeffersonville; his mother, Mrs. David (Dorothy) Wilson, Dunkirk; his father Warren Bramlett, Dunkirk; two sisters, Mrs. Byron (Debra) Dornberger and Mrs. Jim (Vickie) Millikan, both of Dunkirk; one brother, Terry Bramlett, Hardinsburg, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Dunkirk I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
