Martha Roe
Aug. 31, 1918-Feb. 15, 2011
Martha Jane Roe, 92, Dunkirk, died Tuesday.
Born in Dunkirk to Hal J. and Margaret A. (Neal) Roe, she was a 1936 graduate of Dunkirk High School and a 1939 alumnus of Ball State Teachers College.
She worked for more than 40 years at Indiana Glass Company in Dunkirk, where she had been a manager.
Memberships include Delta Theta Tau Sorority for more than 50 years and Business and Professional Women’s Club (later called Dunkirk Career Women).
Survivors include a sister, Mary M. Barnum, Dunkirk; a nephew and several extended family members.
Services are Friday at 11 a.m. at M.J.S. Mortuaries-Dunkirk Chapel with Pastor Randy Davis officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Montpelier.
Visitation is today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, 216 W. Pleasant St., Dunkirk, IN 47336.
