Local notes
Cheer clinic registration is July 2, 3
The Jay County High School cheerleading program will host a clinic in July.
The clinic for kindergarten through eighth graders will run from 1 to 3:30 p.m. July 9 through 12 in the JCHS auxiliary gym.
Registration for the clinic will be Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 2 and 3 at the Jay Schools central office. The registration fee is $10.

Ansonia 5K is Wednesday
The Ansonia Firecracker 5K race will be Wednesday.
The event will begin at Ansonia High School at 9 a.m. The registration fee is $13, and the deadline is Friday.
