Ed Dolch
Ed Dolch, 87, a former Portland resident, died Wednesday in Swiss Village in Berne.
Born in Adams County on Jan. 17, 1918, to Henry and Katherine (Hoffman) Dolch, he married Marceil Leonhard on May 7, 1945. She survives.
A veteran of the U.S. Army Airborne serving during World War II, he retired from Teledyne Portland Forge.
Memberships include Zion Lutheran Church and American Legion Post No. 211.
Other survivors include a son, David Dolch, Monroe; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Mari-Lou) Dahlberg, El Paso, Texas; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post No. 211.
Visitation is Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to Zion Lutheran Church.[[In-content Ad]]
