Larry Miller
Larry E. Miller, 50, a former resident of 1809 West 800 South, Portland, died today at his mother's residence at Golden Age Village, Portland.
Services are pending at the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home.
Paula Duquette
Paula Mae Duquette, 73, Mount Morris, Mich., a former Montpelier resident, died Tuesday at Genesey's Hospital in Flint, Mich. She was the sister of a Dunkirk woman.
Born on May 14, 1934, in Blackford County, to William Isaac and Olive May (Williams) Dearduff, she was married to William John Duquette, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include three brothers and seven sisters, including Florence Egly, Dunkirk.
Private family services will be held. Glancy Funeral Homes Walker Chapel in Montpelier is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be in Mount Morris Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church in Montpelier.
Charles Rockwood Jr.
A memorial service was held Tuesday for Charles L. Rockwood Jr., 62, Mentor, Ohio. The half brother of area residents, he died April 24 at Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Born on May 5, 1945, in Cleveland, he was the son of Charles and Everlyn (Gorski) Rockwood.
Survivors include his mother; his stepmother; two sons; a daughter; three half brothers, including Jim Rockwood, Portland; two half sisters, including Diana Ramizera, Fort Recovery, and two grandchildren.
Zele Funeral Home in Cleveland was in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be at a later date.
Bartel Ahlers
A funeral Mass was held Tuesday in Coldwater, Ohio, for Bartel C. Ahlers, 88, Coldwater. The brother of Fort Recovery residents, he died Friday at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio.
Born on Nov. 3, 1919, in St. Henry, Ohio, to William and Regina (Ebbing) Ahlers, he was married on Aug. 6, 1971, to Mary Nieberding Brandon, who survives.
Other survivors include five stepdaughters; a brother, Stan Nieberding, Fort Recovery; a sister, Mary Lou Osterholt, Fort Recovery; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater was in charge of the arrangements. Burial was in St. Louis Cemetery in North Star, Ohio.
