Gary D. Shaneyfelt
Gary D. Shaneyfelt, 63, Salamonia, died Wednesday at his home from an apparent heart attack. Arrangements are pending at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home.

Amos Schwartz
April 10, 1931-Oct. 20, 2010
Amos M. Schwartz, 79, rural Berne, died Wednesday at his home.
Born in Adams County to Jacob F. and Margueritte P. Schwartz, he was a member of the Old Order Amish.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth N. (Wengerd) Schwartz, whom he married on May 29, 1952.
He was a retired farmer and harness maker.
Surviving besides his wife are eight sons, Jake F. Schwartz (wife: Mary), Salem, Noah F. Schwartz (wife: Clara), Scottsburg, Amos F. Schwartz (wife: Gertie A.L.), Sam F. Schwartz (wife: Edith A.), Enos F. Schwartz (wife: Emma A.) and Emanuel F. Schwartz (wife: Elizabeth M.) all of Berne, Daniel F. Schwartz (wife: Ann D.), Bryant, and Soloman F. Schwartz (wife: Edna), Geneva; six daughters, Christine F. Schwartz (husband: Joe L.), Monroe, Margaret F. Schmidt (husband: Michael C.), Salem, Josephine F. Schwartz (husband: Daniel E.) and Verena F. Schmidt (husband: Samuel A.), both of Monroe, Mary F. Eicher (husband: Paul D.), Berne, and Barbara F. Borntrager (husband: Jake E.), Berne; a sister, Josephine Christner (husband: Levi), Geneva; two brothers, Emanuel M. Schwartz, Branch County, Mich., and Christie M. Schwartz (wife: Katie), Berne; 151 grandchildren and 115 great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Emanuel F. Schwartz home, 150 West 7722 South, Berne. Burial will be in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is today until 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Schwartz home.
Arrangements are being handled by Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne.
Pamela Dennis
Aug. 30, 1953-Oct. 18, 2010
Pamela Sue Dennis, 57, Wylie, Texas, died Monday in Dallas.
Born in Portland to Willard and Marilyn (Platt) Smith, she was a 1971 graduate of Portland High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Eugene Dennis, whom she married on Sept. 8, 1973, in Portland.
Survivors include her mother, Marilyn Smith, Portland; two brothers, Ronnie Smith, Muncie, and Terry Smith, Portland; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are Saturday at Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Wylie with Minister Alvis Nickols officiating. Burial will be in Wylie Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Irene Klosterman
Dec. 23, 1919-Sept. 28, 2010
Irene Klosterman, 90, Vero Beach, Fla., a Fort Recovery native, died Sept. 28 at Hospice of Vero Beach, Fla.
Born in Fort Recovery to Joseph and Agnes (Heuker) Backs, she was preceded in death on June 6, 2010, by her husband Elmer Klosterman, whom she married on Aug. 30, 1941.
She was manager of the Harrisville Grain Company and the Maria Stein Grain Company and was executive director of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Center in Celina, Ohio.
Memberships include St. Bernard Church and Ladies Sodality of the church in Burkettsville, Ohio, and Daughters of Isabella.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Norman (husband: Thomas), Vero Beach, Fla., and Donna Eisenman (husband: Kevin), Stratford, Conn.; three brothers, Charles Backs, Coldwater, Ohio, James Backs, Jensen Beach, Fla., and Andrew Backs, Hollywood, Fla.; six sisters, Marge VanDornvelt, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Ruth Brown, Botkins, Ohio, Delores Sowar and Barbara Jean Backs, both of Dayton, Ohio, Joan Wenning, St. Henry, Ohio, and Barbara Monnig, Centerville; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry, Ohio.

Anthony Evers
April 7, 1916-Oct. 17, 2010
Anthony J. Evers, 94, Maria Stein, Ohio, the brother-in-law of a Fort Recovery man, died Sunday at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio.
Born in Cassella, Ohio, to Frank and Anna (Holdheide) Evers, he was preceded in death on June 20, 2008, by his wife Marie R. Vondrell, whom he married on Nov. 4, 1950.
Surviving are a daughter; two sons; three sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law, Leon Vondrell, Fort Recovery; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass is Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary-Catholic Church in Cassella with the Rev. Tom Brenberger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is today from 2 to 8 p.m. and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at  Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
