DEER ACCIDENT
A vehicle driven by a Portland man collided with a deer Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. in Greene Township.
Jack L. Chowning, 1207 W. Votaw St., told Jay County police he was driving west on Ind. 26, less than one-half mile west of county road 400 West, and was unable to avoid a deer that had entered the road.
Chowning was driving a 1994 Plymouth Voyager that sustained an estimated $1,000 to $2,500 in damages.
CAR DAMAGED
A Portland woman told Portland police Wednesday morning at 1:40 a.m. that someone had damaged her vehicle.
Elizabeth Runion, 234 E. Walnut St., told police that someone had driven a vehicle into the back of her 1995 GMC Jimmy while it was parked in front of her home.
There was damage to the rear bumper of the vehicle, but there was no damage estimate on a report by city police.[[In-content Ad]]
