Time again for Arts in the Park
Taking Note
Registration forms are available at Arts Place in Portland for Arts in the Park 2010. Classes will be available this summer at Dunkirk Community Center, Fort Recovery Community Park and Van Trees Park in Fort Recovery, Adams Public Library in Geneva, Pennville Community Center, Arts Place and Arts Place Farmers Market in Portland and Redkey Scout Cabin.
The cost for each class is $5. Scholarships will be available until May 14 and priority will be given to registrations received by May 21.
Bike tour
Adams Memorial Hospital will host the fifth annual Worthman on Wheels Bike Tour on Sunday, May 16. Registration begins at 1 p.m. and the ride will be at 2 p.m. A 15-mile and a 30-mile route will be available. Participants are required to wear a helmet and t-shirts will be provided with the registration fee of $10.

Minnetrista displays
There are several displays to view at Minnetrista in Muncie.
The Juried Art Show and Sale is on display through May 2; a display to understand how the Earth is observed from space will be held through May 9; exploring the world of infectious diseases can be seen through May 30 and Casey's Clubhouse is available for children to use Casey's explorer tools and become a Casey's Clubhouse Explorer.
Minnetrista is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Admission is $5. For more information, visit www.minnetrista.net.

Nominations are being accepted for the LifeStream Awards of Excellence Celebration to be held June 16 at the Horizon Convention Center in Muncie. Nominations will be accepted for the following categories:
Chairman's Award - To honor an individual of any age, organization, association or government leader who has done the most to positively impact the lives of seniors or people with disabilities who want to remain independent.
Champion Award - An individual of any age who has successfully advocated on behalf of seniors of people with disabilities.
Focus Award - For an organization, individual of any age or team who has put the spotlight on issues affecting seniors or people with disabilities, either through media attention or other means.
Golden Hoosier Award - To an individual age 60 or older in Grant, Jay, Blackford, Randolph, Henry, Delaware or Madison counties who has given a lifetime of service and improved the quality of life in his or her community.
Nominations are due by May 14 and should include full name, address and phone number of the nominee and the nominator and a statement, of 500 words or less, why the individual, organization or agency should be honored.
