Tobe powers Fort Recovery

FORT RECOVERY - Sam Tobe led the Fort Recovery High School freshman girls basketball team to a 52-22 victory Monday over the Wayne Trace Raiders.
Tobe racked up 16 points for the Indians, who rolled out to a 26-5 halftime lead. FRHS outscored Wayne Trace 18-3 in the second quarter and added 17 points in the third.
Kelsey Fiely joined Tobe in double figures with 10 points. Janelle Schwieterman and Chelsea Pottkotter added eight points apiece.
Freshman boys fall
FORT RECOVERY - The Indians could not hold on to a halftime lead, falling 39-38 to the New Bremen Cardinals.
The Tribe led by four at halftime, but New Bremen pulled even in the third quarter. The Cardinals outscored FRHS 7-6 in the final period to take the victory.
Chad Schroer led Fort Recovery with 17 points and seven rebounds. Jacob Schoen added nine points and six boards.[[In-content Ad]]
