Gary Moon
Gary E. Moon, 53, formerly of Dunkirk, died Thursday in Lake Wales Medical Center, Lake Wales, Fla., following a brief illness.
Born in Jay County on Feb. 4, 1951, to Margaret and James T. Moon Sr., he graduated from Dunkirk High School with the class of 1971.
He had worked at Indiana Glass Co. in Dunkirk until moving to Florida in late 1980s.
He also served 6 years with the Indiana National Guard and was a member of Dunkirk F&AM, Lodge No. 275.
He was also a former member of the Moose Lodge No. 1352 and American Legion Post 227, both of Dunkirk.
Survivors include a brother, James T. Moon Jr., Dunkirk; a sister, Mrs. Tom (Beverly) Holland, Lake Wales, Fla.; two nephews; and three nieces.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Parson-Rust Funeral Home, Albany, with Pastor Neil Butcher officiating.
Burial will follow in Strong Cemetery, Albany.
Visitation is Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Dunkirk Lodge No. 275 will provide Masonic rites at 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to any organization researching spinal cord injuries.

Mose Eicher
Services were held Sunday for Mose R. Eicher, 27, Fredericksburg, Ohio, a native of Geneva who died Thursday in Akron City Hospital, Akron, Ohio.
Burial took place in Yoder Cemetery, Paint Township, Holmes County, Ohio.
Born on Nov. 11, 1976, in Geneva to Ernest and Rachel (Miller) Eicher, he married Mary Miller in Oct. 26, 1995. She survives.
He was a carpenter and member of the Old Order Amish.
Other survivors include four daughters, Arlene, Elizabeth, Esther and Frances Eicher, all at home; two sons, Joseph and Alexander Eicher, at home; his mother and stepfather, Rachel and Ernie Girod, Freedom, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Aden (Martha) Schmucker, Killbuck, Mrs. Michael (Rachel) Eicher, Greensburg; four half-sisters, Mrs. Samuel (Lydia) Eicher, LaGrange, Mrs. Emanuel (Verena) Eicher, Rushville, Mrs. Amos (Elizabeth) Wengerd, Monroe, and Mrs. Henry (Lovina) Hershberger, Dundee; four half-brothers, Ernest Eicher Jr., Amos Eicher and Henry Eicher, all of Monroe, and Chris Eicher, Geneva; six stepbrothers, Sam, Ben, Mahlon and David Girod, all of Fillmore, N.Y., Emanuel Girod, Freedom, N.Y., and Ernest Girod, Houghten, N.Y.; five stepsisters, Mrs. David (Emma) Nissley, Freedom, N.Y., Mrs. Rudy (Esther) Miller and Mrs. Chester (Barbara) Yoder, both of Troupsburg, N.Y., Mrs. Dan (Ruth) Miller, Houghten, N.Y. and Mrs. Danny (Veronica) Byler, Fillmore, N.Y.
Spidell Funeral Home, Mount Eaton, Ohio, handled the arrangements.

William H. Johnson, 77, Short Street, Dunkirk, died Monday evening at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
