Emma Bailey

Emma Irene Bailey, 90, 4781 East 100 South, Portland, died Monday at Swiss Village in Berne.
Born in Noble Township in Jay County to Cliff and Verda Belle (Reed) Koon, she was chosen as Miss Madison Township in 1936 and a 1938 graduate of Madison High School.
She is survived by husband Wayne Bailey, whom she married on June 23, 1940.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Bill Bailey, Salisbury, N.C., Bruce Bailey and Bevan Bailey, both of Portland; a sister, Arletha Arbaugh, Warsaw; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services are Thursday at 10 a.m. at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating. Burial will be in Green Park Cemetery.

Sharon Grayson, 70, formerly of Muncie and 401 Canterbury Lane, Portland, died Sunday at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.
Born in Hartford City to Gail and Mary Margaret (Winget) Armstrong, she retired from Littler Die Cast in Albany and had worked at Kerr Glass in Dunkirk.
Memberships include Eagles Auxiliary in Muncie and American Legion Auxiliary in Portland.
Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Fisher (husband: Guy), Portland; and a sister, Lana Kay Johnson, Florida.
Services are Thursday at 1 p.m. at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
Visitation is Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to State of the Heart Hospice or the donor's choice.

Alma Huelskamp
Feb. 28, 1925-March 13, 2010
Sister Alma C. Huelskamp, C.P.P.S., 85, Maria-Joseph Center in Dayton, Ohio, died Saturday in Dayton. She was the sister of Fort Recovery residents.
Born in St. Joe, Ohio, to Aloysius and Rose (Harlett) Huelskamp, she entered the Sisters of the Precious Blood in 1942 and retired from St. Charles Seminary in Carthagena, Ohio.
Surviving are two sisters, including Mildred Will, Fort Recovery; and a brother, Art Huelskamp, Fort Recovery.
A funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Heights Convent Chapel in Dayton. Burial will be in Salem Heights Convent Cemetery in Dayton.
Visitation is today from 5 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at Salem Heights Convent Chapel in Dayton.
Arrangements are being handled by Baker-Hazel and Snider Funeral Home and Crematory in Dayton.

Dianna K. Johnson, 45, Bluffton, a Jay County native, died Sunday at her home.
Born in Jay County to Donald R. and Carolyn J. (Richards) Brown, she was owner and operator of her own daycare in Huntington, managed Murphy USA in Warsaw for two years and was a waitress for several years.
She attended Church of the Living God, Dunkirk.
Survivors include two sons, Eric W. Worthington, Huntington, and Jeremy A. Worthington, Bluffton; a daughter, Jami R. Worthington, Huntington; her father, Donald R. Brown, Bryant; four sisters, Connie Connett (husband: Larry) and Pam Coleman, both of Ossian, Debbie Stiles (husband: John), Bluffton, and Christine Ball, Portland; four brothers, Ronald Brown and Daniel Brown (wife: Melissa), both of Bluffton, David Brown, Bryant, and Thomas Brown, Markle; and two grandchildren.
Services are Thursday at 11 a.m. at Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton with Pastor Theodore Waggoner officiating. Burial will be in Gearnand Cemetery in Wells County.
Visitation is Wednesday from 1 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to Family Hospice and Palliative Care.

Former Dunkirk resident Gerald B. Mills, 96, died Monday at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are pending at Meacham Funeral Service in Albany.
