United Way to kick off campaign

United Way of Jay County will kick off its 2009 fundraising campaign Friday evening during the Jay County Patriots' home football game against Anderson Highland.
A kickoff ceremony will be held at halftime of the football game marking the beginning of the annual effort, which is scheduled to continue Friday through Friday, Dec. 11.
The campaign goal for 2009 is $208,000 - an increase of $3,000 over last year's goal of $205,000. That fundraising goal was surpassed.
A tailgate will be held prior to Friday's game, with free hot dogs, chips, cookies and water. MainSource Bank has pledged $10 to United Way for each point Jay County scores Friday.[[In-content Ad]]
