Photos from Jay County Public Library's ninth annual Get Caught Reading Photo Contest are on display until Nov. 22.
Visitors to the library may vote in each of the four categories on display and winners will be announced Nov. 25.
The library is located at 315 N. Ship St. in Portland and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Geneva Proud
Geneva Proud will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in the Community Room on the second floor of Town Hall.
Leaders of the group want to have a logo designed. Anyone with an idea or drawing should send it to Geneva Proud, Box 2, Geneva, IN 46740.
Also a bake sale will be held Friday and Saturday in the lobby of the downtown office of the Bank of Geneva. Proceeds will benefit Geneva Proud's college scholarship fund for graduates of South Adams High School.
Farmer's workshop
A Farmer Economic Worshop will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Jay County Public Library in Portland.
Dr. Bruce Erickson and Alan Miller will speak on the cost of grain crops, risk management and site specific farming.
Ag meeting
Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service in Jay County will have a program on Friday at noon at the Jay County Fairgrounds 4-H Building.
Chris Hurt of Purdue's Department of Agricultural Economics will explain factors that are raising farm prices. A free lunch will also be served.
