Vormohr takes 2nd in shot put (03/31/07)

Jay County graduate Joseph Vormohr turned in a second-place finish as his team hosted the Hanover College Invitational.
Vormohr had his best effort for the Panther men's track team March 24 in the shot put. His toss of 44 feet, 2 inches put him in second place behind teammate Luke Keller.
The freshman also made his first foray into the hammer throw with a fourth-place finish at a distance of 104 feet, 9 inches.

Jay County - 2006
Scored a couple of top-four efforts March 24 for the Taylor University women's track team at the Wittenberg University Invite.
Johnson's best finish came in the 5,000-meter run as she posted a time of 20-minutes, 34 seconds. She was also fourth with a time of 5:22 in the 1,500 run.
Heath Williams

Helped lead the Manchester College baseball team to a 7-0 victory in the first half of a double-header Tuesday against Indiana Wesleyan.
Williams finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a run and a stolen base. He also had four assists and three put-outs.
He also had a hit in Manchester's 6-4 March 23 victory over North Central.
Nicole VanSkyock

Competed in a pair of events as the Anderson University women's track team finished in the middle of the pack March 23 at the Washington Invitational.
VanSkyock finished eighth in the 800-meter run in 2-minutes, 32.91 seconds, and was 11th in at 5:14.07 in the 1,500 run.

The pair of former Patriot pitchers suffered losses as the Ancilla baseball team dropped a double header Thursday to Lake Michigan.
Keen dropped to 0-2 on the year, getting no run support in a 10-0 defeat. The Charger offense contributed just one hit in the defeat.
Shatto is now 1-1 after dropping the second game of the double-header 13-4.

Helped the Huntington University women's track team to a pair of victories March 17 at the Wabash Relays.
Roughia teamed with Laura Bowman, Lauren Davenport and Vanessa Macias to dominated the 4x800 relay, easily winning by more than 14 seconds in 10-minutes, 12.17 seconds. She joined the same trio to win the distance relay in 13:34.04.[[In-content Ad]]
