Mr. and Mrs. Ray Walter, 410 E. Max Drive, Pennville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, May 18, with an open house at the Pennville American Legion from 2 to 5 p.m. Friends and family are invited to celebrate with the couple.
Ray married Grace Monroe on Feb. 22, 1953. The Rev. Robert Bisel presided over the ceremony.
They are the parents of Mrs. Fred (Sonya) Hoffman, Byron (wife Kathy) Walter, and Mrs. Jack (Teresa) Bell, all of Hartford City. They have eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Ray is retired from 3M in Hartford City and Grace is retired from Big Wheel, formerly of Portland.
The couple, who are longtime residents of Jay and Blackford Counties, spend their winters in Sebring, Fla.[[In-content Ad]]
