5K scheduled at Monroe Central
The Psi Iota Xi Literacy 5K run/walk will be April 16 at Monroe Central High School.
The event will begin with the mile run at 9:30 a.m. followed by the 5K at 10:30 a.m. The entry fee is $15 for adults and $12 for students for those who register before April 1. Late registration is $18 for adults and $15 for students.

Dunkirk Junior League sign-ups set
Sign-up are open for Dunkirk Junior League tee-ball, baseball and softball.
Those interested in playing can sign up at West Jay Community Center Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. Registration forms are available at www.dunkirkballpark.com, and the deadline is April 1.

Registration is now open for Portland Junior League baseball and softball.
Forms are available at Jay County schools, Patriot Sportswear, Jay County Public Library, Jay Community Center and Jay County REMC. The registration deadline is April 1.
Portland Junior League has added a division this year, and is now open to players ages 6 through 18.

Registration is open for the Jay Community Center’s adult volleyball league.
The registration fee is $200 per six-person team, and the deadline to register is April 11. Matches will be play on Monday evenings from April 18 through May 23.
