Herman Linn
Jan. 8, 1925-June 26, 2008
Services were held at Westview Nazarene Church in New Castle for Herman R. Linn, 83, a former New Castle resident. The brother-in-law of a Portland resident, he died Saturday at an assisted living center in Indianapolis.
Born in Mercer County to Otto and Nora (Stover) Linn, he was married to Thelma Tucker who died in Feb. of 1955.
Survivors include three sons; a daughter; two sisters; two brothers; a sister-in-law, Edna Smith, Portland; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle was in charge of the arrangements.
Gerald Collins
Nov. 23, 1930-June 30, 2008
Gerald Collins, 77, Farmland, died Monday at Ball Memorial Hospital. He was the brother of a Ridgeville woman.
Born in Parker City, he was the son of Milford and Rosetta Betty (Hall) Collins.
Surviving are four sons; four sisters, including Mrs. Max (Ruth Ann) James, Ridgeville; a brother; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services are Sunday at 2 p.m. at MJS Mortuaries-Farmland Chapel with Pastor Rex Collins officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Farmland.
Visitation is Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.[[In-content Ad]]
