Local notes
JC basketball camp set
The Jay County High School boys basketball program’s camp for seventh and eighth graders will be May 23 through 26.
Camp will run from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. each day at the JCHS gym. The registration fee is $35 for one child or $50 for two from the same family.

Summer swim begins Monday
The first practice for the Jay County Summer Swim Team will be Monday.
Practice will be at the Jay County High School pool from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. for swimmers 11-and-older and 5 to 5:45 p.m. for swimmers 10-and-younger. Those interested in swimming can register for the team on May 9, 10 and 12 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

5-on-5 league scheduled
Registration is open for Jay Community Center’s adult 5-on-5 summer basketball league.
The registration fee is $325 per team, and the deadline to register is May 11. Games will be played on Tuesday evenings from May 17 through June 28.

Golf tourney is May 21
Jay Community Center’s J. Gordon Meeker Golf Tournament will be May 21 at Portland Golf Club.
The four-person scramble will begin at 8 a.m. The registration fee is $200 per team, and the deadline is May 14.
