Belva Zorn
Belva Naomi Zorn, 93, a resident of Swiss Village in Berne and a former Noble Township resident, died Tuesday afternoon at Swiss Village following an extended illness.
She was a member of the Noble Christian Church and the Ladies Aid of the church, and was also a member of the Noble Busy Bees Extension Homemakers.
Mrs. Zorn had worked at the former Jay Garment for five years and also worked in the office at Loy’s Sale Barn in Noble Township for several years.
Born Sept. 27, 1910, in Jefferson Township, she was the daughter of Willard and Lela (Clore) Johnston.
She was a 1928 graduate of the Green High School located near Redkey, and was married in 1933 to Otto R. Zorn, who died in 1993.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Norma) Newell, Marion, Ohio, and Mrs. James (Carol Sue) Somers, Kenosha, Wisc.; two brothers, Wayne Johnston, Anderson, and Donovan Johnston, Winchester; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Bothast officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery at Fort Recovery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday.
